    Owner

    Edwin Wyant had a vision to open the premiere wine store of downtown Fredericksburg. In 2005 that dream became reality and since its humble beginnings, the small retail store blossomed into a 2 story facility offering the finest in imported and domestic wine, beer and gifts. As the heart and the soul of The Virginia Wine Experience, Edwin continues to nurture his passion and knowledge for wine. You can find him at the shop next time you stop by and he will gladly share with you his experience and wine suggestions to help you prepare the perfect event or dinner.

  • Mary Wyant

    Assistant Manager

    As The Virginia Wine Experience is family owned and operated, naturally, Edwin's mother is a key aspect to the success of this business. Most mornings you will find Mary buried in a pile of baskets, stoppers, cheese, ribbons and bows. She is the resident expert on designing gorgeous custom-made baskets for clients, events and the holidays. She also is in charge of ordering all of the specialty gifts and gourmet treats seen in the shop.

  • David Wyant

    Wine Consultant/Beer Specialist

    David Wyant is a recent graduate of James Madison University. He joined the staff during the Summer of 2011 and brings a wealth of knowledge about craft brews and a flare for design and positive, personable and friendly customer service. David, an incredible "multi-tasker", is usually involved with various projects to improve store events, specials and daily operations.
